dc Cluster (dc3tog in the same stitch)

A cluster joins several partial double crochets into one top—great for texture motifs.

Steps (dc3tog in one spot)

  1. (YO, insert, YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through 2) × 3 — leave the last loop each time (4 loops on hook).
  2. YO and pull through all loops to close the cluster.
  3. Ch 1 to lock if your pattern says so.
For tighter clusters, keep the partial dc loops snug; for puffy clusters, pull taller loops.
