Bobble Stitch (5-dc bobble)

Bobble stitches create bold, raised texture. The 5-dc bobble is a common variant.

Steps (US terms)

  1. (YO, insert in stitch, YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through 2) × 4 — leave the last loop each time (you have 5 partial dc + 1 loop).
  2. YO and pull through all loops on hook.
  4. Ch 1 to lock if the pattern calls for it.
For smaller bobbles, work 3-dc. For mega bobbles, 7-dc. Keep tension relaxed.
